Two tracks from my collection of music called Sentimental Dances have now been released on a new album called Four Minutes! ✨ Distribution on Naxos and Warner Music! Thank you Iwona Glinka and Phasma-Music for making this happen ??
Sentimental Dances tells the story of two strangers who meet and develop feelings for each other, but who ultimately cannot be together. There are a range of emotions through the pieces, from excitement and affection to the melancholy and sorrow of Last Dance.
Sentimental Dances is a versatile set of pieces, which can be performed at functions, events or as part of a concert. Working well together, each movement can also be played effectively as a stand alone piece.
There are 4 movements:
1. First Encounter: Lively, fun, with curiosity and intrigue. [Recorded on Four Minutes].
2. Moonlight Waltz: Emotional and romantic closeness.
3. Time Together: Relaxed and flowing together. [Recorded on Four Minutes]
4. Last Dance: Sadness and despair as they part ways.
The album FOUR MINUTES for woodwind quartet contains 18 four-minute works, written by 18 composers from 9 countries. A woodwind quartet, sometimes casually called wind quartet, is an ensemble of four woodwind instruments, or music written for four instruments. The usual scoring is flute, oboe, clarinet and bassoon. The instruments in a woodwind quartet usually have different ranges that allow for rich harmonies with high and low tones. Since these four instruments are from different subgroups of the instrument family, wind quartet music has timbral variety from each instrument's resonance.

The CD HE includes 15 compositions by 12 contemporary composers, which are recorded for the first time (world premiere recordings). Eleven of these compositions are for solo flute and the other four for flute and piano. The works are performed by two world-class soloists who specialise in contemporary music. This is their second recording, following on from the award-winning release ALEPH.
The CD was recorded in November 2018. The compositions and its creators came into contact with a music-loving audience and this recording concludes the whole project, which presents aspects of contemporary music for solo flute and for flute and piano. In HE, the composers who have written music for solo flute are: Daniel Adams, Scott Brickman, David Drexler, Frederic Glesser, Hari Kanakis, Travis Rigby, José Jesus de Azevedo Souza, Jason Taurins, Filip Sande. The works for flute and piano are composed by: Ricky Chaggar, Louis Sauter, Betty R. Wishart.
Award-winning recording artist and renowned flutist Iwona Glinka presents a recital composed of 53 pieces by 40 composers from 14 countries whose creativity is rooted in various popular trends in the 21st century. These pearls were created somewhat off the beaten track of the artistic activity of their creators, commonly associated with other forms and different instruments. Iwona Glinka decided to create a fascinating interpretation for the music lovers and she chose to record all works for two flutes by herself!
The composers of the album include: Aaron Alter, Christos Sp. Anastassiou, Evangelos Andrikos, Nikos Athanassakis, Scott Brickman, Andrzej Borzym, Aris Carastathis, Ricky Chaggar, Marcel Chyrzynski, Dorothee Eberhardt-Lutz, Stephen de Filippo, Robert Fruehwald, Stephen de Filippo, Keith R.
